High-speed doors built for demanding food environments

Partner Nelson Industrial Doors recently installed two Nergeco Star 5 Agro flexible high-speed doors for O’Brien Fine Foods, a leading player in the food processing industry.

Designed from the ground up for the most corrosive food environments, the Star 5 Agro (RR 5000 Agro) features a multi-composite structure offering 45% higher corrosion resistance than stainless steel. Each composite is tailored to its mechanical function, improving tear, torsion and impact resistance, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Its smooth, wear-resistant surfaces can be cleaned under pressure without disassembly, while the ventilated design ensures fast drying ideal for dry or wet processes that require strict hygiene.

The multi-composite mechanisms, even more resistant than 316L stainless steel, maintain a durable, corrosion-free appearance. The Nergeco Intelligent Curtain, equipped with sealed flexible reinforcements, distributes pressure evenly, enhancing insulation and reducing maintenance needs.

The Star 5 Agro Business version offers fast opening and closing speeds (around 1 m/s) on doors up to 4 x 4.5 m, operating hundreds of cycles per day with an automatic reinsertion system for seamless operation.

These features allow O’Brien Fine Foods to reduce energy loss, contamination risks and maintenance costs, while optimizing productivity on site.
